My name is Simon and I am an english DJ based in the south of France. My company, Simon Laurence Music, provides entertainment services and sound equipment for weddings, private parties and corporate events in France, Italy, Monaco, UK, UAE and beyond!

How long have you been a DJ?
I have spent the last 10 years working as a musician and resident DJ for one of the best and busiest bands in the business! I have travelled all over the world and DJ’d (is that a word?) at hundreds if not over a thousand weddings and other private events. My extensive experience within the wedding industry has helped me refine my skills as a DJ and makes me one of the most professional and talented DJ’s working in private entertainment today.

Where do you work?
I perform as a DJ for weddings and private events all over the place! During the summer I work mostly in the “wedding belt” region of south west France and also Nice, Cannes & Monaco for pool parties, yacht parties and of course… weddings. I have performed several times at the Grand Prix in Monaco and Marrakech and for corporate events all over the Cote D’Azur. During the winter months I tend to travel a little further afield, performing at destination weddings in Dubai, USA and NYE parties in Maldives. I love my job… just thought I’d mention that.

What do you offer for “cocktail entertainment”?
We offer a cocktail/aperitif DJ package for up to 4 hours of chilled tunes specifically chosen and expertly mixed to provide the perfect ambience to mingle and enjoy a glass of champagne! I can tailor the playlist to any style or vibe you want and can provide a wireless microphone and a full yet discreet PA system for most sized areas.

We also offer an electro acoustic live music package. 2 hours of chilled live music covers to entertain your guests during the aperitif. Get in touch for further details and videos.

Do you also perform along with live instruments like saxophone?
Yes, absolutely! Adding a live instrument to a cocktail or evening DJ performance can really add some excitement and flare to your event. We can provide awesome musicians to either keep the atmosphere chilled and relaxed or really ramp up the party! Simon Laurence Music offers musical accompaniment of saxophone, electric violin, electric guitar or a vocalist! Get in touch to find out more.

Do you have a wedding package and what services are the most popular?
Yes we offer several wedding packages. One of our most popular packages includes: Full sound system for ceremony, cocktail/aperitif and dinner (including all speakers, wireless microphones and music), evening DJ set (up to 5 hours of music) and onsite sound technician to manage all music and microphones etc for the full event. Clients very often add optional extras such as the cocktail entertainment, live musician accompaniment or next day pool party but with the above package, you can have piece of mind that all the important sound and music aspects of your wedding are taken care of by professionals.

What sort of music do you play and do you take requests?
Anything and everything! From Old School Classics to Todays Top 10! After performing at so many weddings and events there probably isn’t many genres of music that I haven’t played. Every event is different every wedding is unique and so I like to liaise with my clients before hand to make sure that the playlist for their event, is exactly what they want. From chilled tropical house remixes to classic 90’s bangers, RnB or Garage, epic ballads or EDM I will make sure that you and your guests have a night to remember.

The vast majority of our clients are english speaking folks getting married abroad. I have had the pleasure of working with clients from the UK, USA, Ireland, Australia, the UAE, France, Italy, Russia, Poland and Greece, to name but a few.
